So I'm walking around my local Hastings with a friend, and I'm talking about how I wanna find Mutant Academy 2 used for less than $35 (which is how much the only used copy I could find around here was). Then we got into a discussion about how they should make another Mutant Academy for the new systems beause that would just be cool. We ended up deciding it was unlikely, since MA2 basically just came out.

Then I get out to the car and open up my new Wizard and BADDA BING! They're making a new X-Men Fighting game for PS2, XBox, and Gamecube, supposedly coming out this summer, called X-Men: The Next Dimension. There a 3 or 4 preview pictures and it says that there will be 24 playable characters. Definitely included will be Mystique, Magneto, and Phoenix, since they're the ones I can pick out of the pictures.

Anyway, just bringing you the good news and opening it for discussion on what 24 characters should be included in the game. biggrin

quote:
Taken from GameSpot:

Next Dimension's storyline has Bastion, backed by Prime- Sentinels, capturing Forge. Forge's X-Men teammates set out to rescue Forge from the evil humanoid sentinel before Bastion can learn secrets that would allow him to destroy all the mutants. In the process, the X-Men will team up with the Brotherhood of Mutants and their evil leader, Magneto.

Activision has said Next Dimension will feature battles that take place on multitiered, destructible levels. The game will also feature eight-way movement, aerial attacks, and non-arena-based fighting.

X-Men: Next Dimension is scheduled for release on the Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2 during the summer of 2002.

And then there are five oversized screen shots of what KC was talking about.

Thanks for posting that up, Hiddy, I couldn't find anything on it anywhere but in that Wizard...and the pics were ultra small.
